One of the blessings of aging is the wisdom that comes with it. Releasing you from living your life based on the dreaded “shoulds.” Giving you greater freedom to be you and honor all that is important to you, with a true understanding that “No” is actually a complete sentence. You don’t need to defend it, define it, or in any way explain yourself. And the list goes on…
As you know, this year we are focusing on the 360 degrees of YOU. This month’s focus in the ❣️All About YOU❣️ series is:
❣️You❣️
❣️Your Spirit❣️
❣️Your Spiritual Life❣️
How does all that connected to living into the wisdom of being true to you and honoring all that is important to you, even if it does not mean the same to others? The level of fulfillment, reward, and success is all based on your self-awareness of what feeds your soul, brings you joy, and allows you to live your purpose on purpose.
Just to clarify the third point - - ❣️Your Spiritual Life❣️ you must define that for yourself. For some, that may be some form of organized religion; for others, it could be time in nature, meditation, and so forth. Don’t be concerned with others’ definitions; the only definition that matters is YOURS!
Here are some thoughts to assist you in your quest to care for yourself, live your best life, and create meaningful success.
1. Identify your core non-negotiable values – those things that mean the most to you, that you draw the line in the cement for, not the sand. (You can do this on your own, or I have a tool I use with all my clients called The Values Catalyst Indicator.)
2. Reflect on what matters most to you. Is it present in your life today? Celebrate what is and look where you can incorporate it into your day-to-day.
3. Be intentional. Reverse engineer where you want to be and where you are today. Then, outline the steps to take you from point A to point B.
4. Share this with your supportive community and ask them to go on the journey with you. (There is power in numbers, and they will carry you when you are challenged to take the next step)
5. Celebrate each step you take, even when you fall. Get the learning and celebrate your efforts and commitment to living your most rewarding life.
When you do this, you may find that your current way of living is squashing what is most important to you. Don’t fall into judgment and make yourself wrong, but rather take this new level of self-awareness and intentionally build out the path to living the life you truly want to live.
I give you permission to really make this month about YOU. To make you a priority, putting you first as you explore To make you a priority, putting you first as you explore what feeds your soul, is in alignment with your core non-negotiable values, and what you want to be true for you.
