❣️Restorative Time❣️
To ensure we are all on the same page, Restorative Time is about creating calmness, inner peace, and stress release. You can achieve this by dancing in the rain, finally reading a book you have put off, biking, extra sleep…whatever aids you in refilling your tank and giving you what you need.
It also doesn’t have to be true for anyone else, just you. For example, years ago (no comment on how many!!🤪), when I was working in a global position, I was on transatlantic flights all the time. Once I boarded the plane, no one could get in touch with me. I had 6, 12…hours to myself. It was blissful, and I refilled my pitcher so I was ready for wherever I was going. Can’t do that today.
I have a client whose restorative time is getting down on the floor and playing with his young children. He is immediately grounded in their love and joy.
Another client would sing in a choir, getting lost in the music and letting it wash over her.
What is it for you? Keep in mind that it is not one thing. Begin to pay attention and identify those things, times, experiences, and people that feed your soul rather than deplete it. Then look for ways to be more intentional about bringing them into your daily life.
Continue to prioritize you and your wellness. You have so much more to give and experience when you do! And a whole lot more fun along the way.
