Amy is a recovering lawyer and art historian who teaches professionals around the world to enhance observation and perception skills by learning to look at works of art.
After leaving the private practice of law, she was the Head of Education at The Frick Collection in New York City for over 12 years.
She started The Art of Perception program for medical students while at the Frick and in 2004, adapted it for law enforcement and intelligence community professionals.
Her book, Visual Intelligence was published in 2016 and was on the Washington Post and New York Times best sellers lists.
Her 2018 TED talk is titled,
A Lesson in Looking.
She has an AB in International Affairs, a law degree, and MA in art history, and will enroll next year in a PhD program at the University of Leeds in the UK.
